Nomadic PN-02 Side Pocket Pencil Case Review

Welcome to another Nomadic pencil case review. This week I had the pleasure of using the Nomadic PN-02 model which is a side pocket pouch case. This pencil case is slimmer and sleeker than the other nomadic pencil cases I have used so far. It has an unusual design with compartments designed for those who carry a minimum amount of stationery. The material used is the same nylon material the Nomadic PN08 is made from so it is certainly strong enough to handle some rough treatment.
The main compartment is situated at the back of the case and the zip for it begins just over halfway up the bag. The zipper comes with two handles which is something common in the Nomadic range of pencil cases. I like this because I can position the zipper handles at any point along the zip and keep the case closed.

There is plenty to be found regarding stationery on the internet. You really don't have to look hard. Social networking makes finding out what is going on in the stationery world even easier. Twitter in particular is a fantastic way to find others with the stationery bug, hear about great deals and generally just keep your finger on the stationery world pulse.
Office Supply Geek, a stationery blog I read, has his own Twitter account and appears to have collected a great number of Twitter contacts or 'tweeps' (Twitter Peeps). Here is his list of suggested stationery people to follow on Twitter.
If you haven't created your own Twitter account yet I recommend you at least try it out. At the very least it is a great way to get your stationery news. We, at The Leaky Pen, are considering launching our own Twitter account soon too.
EDIT: We now have our twitter account and the widget showing our tweets is showing on our website. You can see our Twitter profile at www.twitter.com/theleakypens

The events leading up to this pen purchase could be of interest to you so I will tell you of them before I get to the review. Forgive me if this pen review descends into a meandering rant but, lets face it, there is a story behind every pen. In this case there are two. Allow me ...
My sister bought me a hard drive dock for Christmas. I know, I know. Why wasn't she buying me stationery? Anyway, she experienced the ill fortune of choosing an online retailer that was selling stock it actually didn't have. A couple of months, several irate emails and one belated refund later she repurchased the aforementioned hard drive dock from a ... more reputable retailer. To tide me over while the elusive hardware was in transit she treated me to a voucher to Kikki-K. Kikki-K is a stationery story at my local shopping mega centre. I had never actually been to Kikki-K, and to tell you the truth didn't know it existed, until she gave me the voucher.
