Today I published a lens on Squidoo. Squidoo is a website where users can publish articles that focus on a hobby or a passion. Squidoo calls each article a lens - because it focuses on a topic. I have already written one about my dog Harry among other things. I though you might want to check out my latest effort, 'The World of Mechanical Pencils'. It is still in draft stage but I would appreciate any feedback or suggestions you may have. If you feel your blog should be listed on the lens just let me know and I will check it out.

OS Wayfarer went overseas recently and I asked him to snaffle me some gear while he was abroad. I didn't ask for anything in particular. I told him I would be happy with a pencil case or a mechanical pencil but it didn't really matter. 'Whatever', I thought, 'surprise me'. Oswayfarer was actually going to Indonesia so I was hoping for something different to what I can find in my local stores here in Brisbane.
Today I arrived home and my beautiful wife handed me a parcel. OS Wayfarer had been true to his word and posted some goodies to me. Two pens and two pencil cases. Great stuff. The items I received were a Mitsubishi Clip-Turn Multi-pen, a Mitsubishi Uni 'Pure Malt' Multi-pen with dedicated case, and finally a Sdip pencil case. All three items were purchased at the Gramedia Bookstore located in the Grand Indonesia Shopping Town, East Mall.

I will put some more pictures up soon.

My posts have been infrequent of late. I haven't been particularly busy. In fact, I've still been hanging on every stationery post that arrives into my RSS reader so a lull in my enthusiasm for stationery isn't to blame. The dearth of posts by me here at The Leaky Pen boils down to simple procrastination. I have been delaying this pencil case review. You see, for three weeks now I have been using the Kutsuwa Edwin puffy pencil case and I just can't bear to stop using it.
I didn't see this coming. With its adolescent kitsch 1980's vibe I had ironically delayed using the Kutsuwa Edwin pencil case. To tell you the truth I felt nervous about even using it in public. I exaggerate, but the puffy panels do scream 'Look at me!' and hark back to an era of fashion that most of us, who lived through it, would rather forget.
